Open Disk management. It will tell you the new disk needs to be initialized:

• click OK to initialize it
• right-click the 2TB disk and select New Simple volume
• click Next all the way through the wizard until you get to click Finish

Now you’ll have a nice big data drive attached to your VM as E:.
